Greetings from the person behind this Ringside Rage Report.
SWA Onslaught from the official home of Professional Wrestling in Newcastle will be very important for a variety of reasons. 1. Its the first event of the New Year. 2. The window of opportunity for SWA to kick off 2012 in a significant thought provoking and memorable way certainly exists as the Superstars of Showtime Wrestling Alliance look to begin building individual momentum towards Clean Slate. 3. Two marquis Main Events for the SWA Heavyweight and Tag Team Championship’s 4. #1 Contenders Match between a teacher and his former student 5. The continuation of a highly volatile grudge match between two longtime rivals has Onslaught being a hot ticket.
Speaking of tickets….fans who are planning to attend Onslaught and are yet to book will need to move quickly as Ringside Seats are now gone and I suspect General Admission may not last very long. Remember fans who book through the recently installed Electronic Ticketing can do so right up until the doors to the Hunter Room open. Paper tickets not required, just identification.

SWA's Executive Chairman, Mark Williamson will do everything he can to ensure Matt Bailey remains champion.
Many if not all will be hoping Adam Asixx and Scotty Matthews are the Last Team Standing Saturday night. I don’t have, here comes an Eagles reference, A ”Peacefull Easy Feeling” about the final match of what has been a scorching Best Of Three Championship Series between The Shinju Soldiers and Nothing Personal Just Business. Who knows what’s going to happen when these arch rivals meet for supposedly the final time. Just like the No Disqualification match at Zero Hour the highly anticipated and much talked about Last Team Standing Match will be overtly dangerous and the likelihood of someone getting hurt is obvious.
Since winning the Championship in mid 2011 Matt Bailey has been “red hot” but the former triple Golden Gloves winner and State and National Amateur Wrestling Champion will have to lace his wrestling boots tight when he defends the SWA Heavyweight Championship against The Giant Kyote. At 208cm the Nic XL managed challenger is literally the tallest man currently competing in Showtime Wrestling and for the first time goes into one of the biggest SWA Heavyweight Championship matches to date with a huge groundswell of support behind him. With a background in Judo, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Sumo, The Giant looms as the perfect instrument of devastation to hang the first pinfall on the seemingly unstoppable 6 feet 4 inch Pinnacle of Australian Professional Wrestling and fulfill his said Zero Hour of reclaiming the Championship he held in 2008.
Although its still early days its quite obvious that Johnny Dee is going to need the patience of a saint to co-exist with Mark Willamson. Just how the former Commissioner manages to co-exist with the controversial Chairman who for reasons unknown seems to be spending more time down at ringside with Matt Bailey than in the corporate Board Room remains to be seen. It will be interesting to see where this budding corporate issue goes in ensuing months.

Johnny D made his return as SWA Commissioner at Zero Hour 2011
Sway is the Womens Champion…but it seems like it has been so long since we all saw her compete one on one let alone defend her cherished Championship belt. Word on the street and not officially confirmed is that upon her return the athletically gifted Womens Champion will not have to search far for a opponent with Aurora, Cobey Star, Baby Devine and Mighty Mel all waiting to pull the trigger on a Championship Challenge.
Benny Coles and JT Robinson both have the opportunity to wrestle their way into the Main Event at Immediate Resolution on February 25 when they meet in a #1 Contenders Match. A win for Benny Coles over his former mentor would continue Coles impressive debut year in SWA. A savvy in ring veteran JT Robinson has been lobbying SWA decision makers for another opportunity and well that opportunity has arrived. However getting the mandatory three count in a match that would place the controversial Robinson in February’s Main Event will not be easy given the undefeated Benny Coles already holds a number of victories over him.
Ethan Hughz vs Osama Hussein continues a rivalry that has deep seated roots. Hughz a gamer and perennial underdog will be looking to put the dissapointment and fustrations of recent months behind him with a win over Hussein. Osama Hussein who along with his Freedom Fighters tag team partner Ahmed Iblis came within a whisker of winning the SWA Tag Team Championship belts in 2011 would love nothing more than to add to the Roadtrain’s dissapointments and fustrations even further and mark his return to SWA for the first time in 2012 with a win. Hughz vs Hussein will be a nasty, emotional tough fight between two power houses who happen to hold no respect for each other what so ever.
Bishop Sommers vs Gene Kelly adds to what is an already loaded Live Event Extravaganza as well as showcasing two of SWA’s outstanding young talents. Bishop Sommers who returned to Showtime Wrestling in September 2011 looking for Championship gold has an opportunity to enhance his claims with a career defining singles victory over Gene Kelly. How the talented Sommers comes out of this potential showstealer of match will be intriguing.
